PIONEER 90.1 MOVES TO COLLEGE OUTREACH DIVISION, RENEWS COMMUNITY TIES
In the wake of the suspension of the Mass Communication program at Northland Community and Technical College, Pioneer 90.1 has moved from the Academics department to the Office of Outreach and Advancement. Station Manager Travis Ryder feels that the move is positive.
"We move from reporting to a campus dean of academics to reporting to the Vice President for Outreach and Advancement, which is a step up on the food chain and a great fit for our new mission as a community resource and voice for the College," Ryder said.
The station, entering its third full year of community outreach and volunteer involvement, held an open house and training session for potential volunteers on August 29.
